- Reflect on your experience working with InDesign.
- I found InDesgin pretty easy once I got the hang of it. It felt a little bit like Canva, which is what I use to do a lot of graphic design work. I overall enjoyed working with InDesign, but I’m sure that there is a lot more to learn.
- Explain the details that factored into your choice for your final layout.
- I chose my second layout I made to submit into the assignment and I chose that one because it didn’t seem cluttered like the other ones were. My idea of this magazine layout was kind of like a mood board with a poem that really resonated with me for the text portion of this project. I tried to incorporate what I liked by using photos from Pinterest to make a photo collage. I combined these too things together and tried out different layouts. It was a lot of trial and error, but I really liked what the final result looked like in the end. When working on my layouts, I didn’t really like my first layout too much so I tried some new typography methods which were ideas I found off of Pinterest. I think that really helped me make all 3 of my different layouts unique.
- Share what you found helpful about learning InDesign. Do you plan to use it for personal, work, or school-related projects?
- I found in InDesign that it was really easy to insert in pictures to make a collage. It was also easy to put in text and change the font. Once I knew where everything was and where all the tools were, I found it easy to navigate around this program. I might use it for other projects, but I do like Canva the best out of all the graphic design online programs I’ve used before.
